Samsung W23 5G and W23 Flip 5G with Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC and 512GB internal storage are now available: price and specifications.

In China, the Samsung W23 5G and Samsung W23 Flip 5G were revealed as bespoke variations of the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4, respectively. The design of the Chinese variations is quite similar to the devices released in India and other worldwide regions, with a few hardware-level differences. The Samsung W23 5G and Samsung W23 Flip 5G have AMOLED inner panels with refresh rates of up to 120Hz and are powered by a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC. Both variants provide 512GB of internal storage.

Price and availability of the Samsung W23 5G and Samsung W23 Flip 5G

The single 16GB RAM + 512GB storage edition of the newly introduced Samsung W23 5G costs CNY 15,999 (about 2.200 USD). The Samsung W23 Flip 5G costs CNY 9,999 (about 1.380 USD) for the single 12GB RAM + 512GB variant. Both foldable smartphones are available in Shiny Black and are presently available for pre-order in China, with shipments beginning on October 28.

To recall, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 were released globally in August during the Galaxy Unpacked event. The 12GB RAM + 256GB storage model of the Galaxy Z Fold 4 costs $1.877 USD, while the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant of the Galaxy Z Flip 4 costs $1.100 USD.

Specifications for the Samsung W23 5G

The Samsung W23 5G has a 7.6-inch second-generation Dynamic AMOLED 2X QXGA+ display with a resolution of (2,176x1,812 pixels) and a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. It also features a 6.2-inch HD+ (904x2,316 pixel) second-generation Dynamic AMOLED cover display. The Samsung W23 5G, like the Galaxy Z Fold 4, is powered by a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC, 16GB of RAM, and 512GB of internal storage.

The Samsung W23 5G has a triple rear camera arrangement that includes a 50-megapixel primary sensor with an f/1.8 aperture lens, a 12-megapixel secondary sensor with an f/2.2 aperture ultra-wide lens, and a 10-megapixel sensor with an f/2.4 telephoto lens. For selfies, the main screen has a 4-megapixel sensor with an f/1.8 aperture lens, while the cover screen has a 10-megapixel sensor with an f/2.2 aperture lens.

The Samsung W23 5G supports 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ax, Bluetooth v5.2, NFC, Ultra Wideband (UWB), GPS, Glonass, Beidou, Galileo, QZSS, and a USB Type-C connector for connectivity. An accelerometer, air pressure sensor, gyro sensor, geomagnetic sensor, hall sensor, light sensor, and proximity sensor are among the sensors aboard. The phone also has a fingerprint sensor on the side for authentication.

It has a battery capacity of 4,400mAh. Furthermore, when folded, the phone measures 1155.1 x 67.1 x 15.8mm and 155.1 x 130.1 x 6.3mm when unfolded. It is 280 grams in weight.

Specifications for the Samsung W23 Flip 5G

The Samsung W23 Flip 5G has a 6.7-inch main full-HD+ (1,080x2,640 pixels) second-generation Dynamic AMOLED display with a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. It also has a 1.9-inch Super AMOLED secondary display with a resolution of 260 x 512 pixels. The clamshell foldable smartphone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC, 12GB of RAM, and 512GB of internal storage,

The Samsung W23 Flip 5G has a similar configuration to the Galaxy Z Flip 4 in terms of images and movies. It sports a dual back camera unit with a 12-megapixel ultra-wide main sensor and an f/2.2 lens, as well as a 12-megapixel wide-angle camera and an f/1.8 lens. A 10-megapixel camera with an f/2.4 lens is positioned atop the foldable display for selfies.

5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ax, Bluetooth v5.2, GPS/ A-GPS, NFC, GPS, Glonass, Beidou, Galileo, QZSS, and a USB Type-C connector are among the connectivity possibilities. The Samsung W23 Flip 5G is equipped with an accelerometer, barometer, gyro sensor, geomagnetic sensor, hall sensor, proximity sensor, and light sensor. For authentication, the phone has a fingerprint sensor on the side.

A 3,700mAh battery powers the Samsung W23 Flip 5G. When folded, it measures 84.9 x 71.9 x 15.9-17.1mm and when unfolded, it measures 165.2 x 71.9 x 6.9mm. It is 187 grams in weight.
